Ocelots are found in biomes inside the southern tip of TexasMexico,the northeastern half of South America, and at one point near Arkansas and Louisiana. These biomes are the Tropical Broadleaf Evergreen, Rainforests, and Tropical Savannas, anda little of Desert scrub. Tropical Broadleaf Evergreen areas areforests with lots of vegetation, is around 64 degree Fahrenheit, and has100 inches of precipitation. The Rainforest is a forest with tall trees,averages 50 to 260 inches of rainfall, and is around 93-68 degreesFahrenheit. The Tropical Savannas are grasslands with scattered trees.The climate is about 64 degrees or higher and the averagesfor precipitation are 30 -50 inches. The lastand least populatedwiththe ocelot is the Desert scrub. This place is roamed with shrubs andhas dry air. It may be over 100 degrees in the summer, but it is 20-30 degrees at night. This wild cat is found in a wide range ofhabitats, includingmangrove forestsSavannah grasslands, coastal marshes,pastures, thorn scrub, along river banks, and tropical forests. They will never go out in a large region of open land, but instead be at placeswith lots of plant life to cover them like the video below. Althoughin some states and cities it is illegal, some habitats of ocelots are thebackyards of people's homes.
